Assessment 1 is an in-class writing assignment. You have to write a essay using your own ideas and 6 short extracts.

The topic will be about “green technologies” and will be related to the four articles that you have seen. See Assessment 1 Reading on eLearn for more details.

The extracts are in length to Activity 7 in Unit 2 and also what we did in class in Week 7. At least one of the extracts will be from the journal articles on ‘green technologies’ that you have already seen.

Read and follow the guidelines below. As well as grammatical and vocabulary, the following three criteria will be used in grading. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a grade.

1. Content and Organisation
Failure to follow the task instructions will result in a lower grade.
